Hello fashion mavens!!
Like many people nowadays, my wardrobe consists of many black articles of clothing. So much so, that my friends always feign surprise when I purchase something that isn’t black! (It’s practical and easy to match, okay?) However, I have been trying to expand my closet color palette recently, so this pale blush boho blouse and  these taupe lace-up booties caught my attention. Especially with Pantone’s release of the Fall 2016 Color Report claiming that: “The desire for tranquility, strength, and optimism have inspired a Fall 2016 color palette that is led by the Blue family”, it’s even more important to pay attention to what’s in stores this upcoming season. In addition to the many blues sure to be seen on the streets, taupe is becoming a rising star among the fashion industry as the perfect warm and organic addition to anyone’s closet; while the pink family takes a more dusty, rich turn from the pale pieces we have all seen this past spring and summer.
On another note, a huge part of fashion and styling is transforming an outfit through the use of accessories and other subtle intricacies that make a garment or outfit distinct from another. For instance, the lace up trend has become huge with the Kardashians’ influence, sporting over-the-knee lace up boots, lace up tops, and infinite bralettes and crop tops that have this detail. Also, complementing colors are such an easy way to coordinate your outfit and add dimension to your look. I know that this seems like common sense, but it’s amazing what a color-coordinated outfit can do for your look. In the outfit above, I wore pale pink, black and gold to create a chic and edgier look with a hint of femininity.
