Bold, crisp and a little bit of rock ’n’ roll! That’s how I would describe Tom Ford’s spring 2016 menswear collection. Ford mixes retro styles of the ‘50s and ‘70s while adding an edge to casual wear. I take inspiration from these decades, which is why it caught my eye. Check out this sweet look from Ford’s collection. Who knew white jeans could be so rad! I bought these bad boys last year, but never had the courage to wear them, until now.
While listening to “The King of Rock ’n’ Roll” Elvis Presley, I remembered a quote he once said: “The image is one thing and the human being is another. It’s very hard to live up to an image, put it that way.” This quote reminded me of my goal—“aspire to inspire”—and what better way to do that than by pushing my boundaries? Sometimes we get so caught up in what other’s think of us and how we should fit the mold of social norms, but not anymore! Fashion is a form of expression; to have fun and ultimately exude confidence in what we wear.
Therefore, I took those crisp jeans, paired them with a black double-monk strap shoe from Aldo, a black and white horizontal striped shirt I got from H&M and one of my favorite faux-leather jackets from Forever 21—and rocked them! Now, let’s help you do the same!
