STYLE GURU STYLE: Fall Fashion

The seasons are changing and to no one’s surprise, orange is yet again at the top of the color palette for fall 2016. Embodying the earth tones of the fall foliage, this russet orange aligns with other autumn color trends. You can find this color coasting down several runways such as Tibi’s fall ready-to-wear collection. Rustic orange is a personal favorite trend for fall.

Fall is definitely my preferred style season. The transition of the weather allows for mixing and matching your summer and autumn pieces to optimize your wardrobe. Dresses have always been a go-to garment for me because they are cute, comfortable and effortless. Opt for a long-sleeved dress for a fall weekend afternoon. Frayed hemlines are also a top trend this season. The distressed hemlines add character to this babydoll dress making it look rustic and organic.

Platform heels are all the rage. If you don’t already have a pair in your closet, you just might want to consider it. Clog sandals can be paired with virtually every outfit this fall and range from a variety of styles such as closed toed mules or strapped platforms. Chestnut is also a repeating seasonal trend as seen in both the platform sandals and the embellished tote. The embroidery on this leather purse adds just enough feminine detail to this minimalistic outfit. This ensemble incorporates several of the top trends for fall Fashionistas!

For a chilly afternoon, turn this dress into a tunic by pairing it with denim skinnies or boyfriend jeans underneath. Dress it down with your favorite fall booties or a fabulous fedora!
