As the cold weather creeps around the corner, the time has come again for warm jackets, UGG boots and fuzzy sweaters galore. Summer has obviously come to an end, but that didn’t stopped me from attempting to ignore the cold weather approaching and desperately cling onto the last few warm days of the year. Turns out that was a horrible mistake since now I’m running around trying to find warm clothes while the temperature has reached the low 40’s.
Long story short, fall has kicked into full gear and now it’s time for me to do some serious shopping. The first cold day hit in Washington, DC and next thing I know I’m at my retail job ringing up customers buying piles of sweaters, coats and warm boots. At least it’s nice to know I wasn’t the only one riding the last minute cold weather shopping struggle bus.
Here’s an outfit I pulled together after my first successful fall shopping trip. I am absolutely obsessed with my new multi-color striped Theory sweater and maroon faux suede jacket (both found at local resale shops!).
On my days off, I like to dress casually with minimal amounts of accessories and makeup. This outfit perfectly shows off my style, my attention to detail and my love for color blocking while still keeping things minimal and casual. I paired my black suede boots with black pants to keep the focus on the royal blue in my sweater. I put on a gorgeous blue Alexis Bittar bracelet to match my color scheme, then I threw in an extra pop of color by adding my maroon suede jacket. Overall, this outfit was fun, colorful and super comfy!
