FA LA LA FALL. Attention, ladies and gents! The weather is finally cooling down which means it is time to break out our fall colors and head to the local pumpkin patch or fun outdoor festivals. The leaves are changing colors and so should the colors in our wardrobe. Recently, I have been loving deep army green shades and neutrals! Incorporating deep colors in my wardrobe is a great way I transition into the fall months. Having one staple item to work with for each fall outfit is an easy way to create a full, fashionable outfit.
Now, let me fall into my inspiration for this look….
This look is inspired by the simplicity of the Yeezy spring 2015 line by Kanye West. All of his looks stick to one color and very simple articles of clothing. Kanye uses dark colors and nudes to showcase his clothing. This fall look was also inspired by Michael Kors spring 2015 runway collection. The models wore simple feminine outfits with lace tie up shoes. Recently, in the fashion spotlight people have been sporting those exact style shoes in their day-to-day looks.
My look is so easy to accomplish and affordable as well! My olive green long, side slit shirt was under $10 dollars and is very versatile. This shirt can be worn with shorts appearing as if it is a T-shirt dress or with leggings. For this look, I went with black distressed high-waisted shorts under my shirt. As for shoes, I am wearing pointed-toe lace up flats that add an edgy and flirty flare to the outfit. I kept my accessories simple with a gold cutout cuff and a long, gold pendant necklace. All of these items can be put together easily when sticking to a simple color scheme.
