Every year, I love to keep up with the latest trends and fashion designers’ newest pieces. In particular, Adam Selman’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear fashion show really stood out to me. In his line, he featured Converse sneakers in every single look. I thought this was a very unique approach to the normal runway style, which is usually very elaborate and high-end.
Taking inspiration from the Adam Selman fashion show, I combined casual and elegant pieces in my featured look. By pairing high top Converse with a T-shirt dress, I incorporated Selman’s laid back look. T-shirt dresses can be worn in a very casual way, but are easy to dress up by adding accessories and layering. Kimonos are this summer’s hottest trend. Because I wanted my outfit to look to chic, I put on an Urban Outfitters kimono. This long kimono adds a touch of elegance to my look and also a pop of color.
To add my own flair to this outfit, I put on my favorite jewelry—Lucky Brand. Lucky Brand jewelry is my favorite because it looks good with any look. In this particular outfit, I am wearing a three-tiered layered necklace. My favorite thing about this necklace is that it has silver and gold on it. I usually do not like mixing silver and gold, but I think it looks great with my outfit. Also I am wearing two Lucky Brand bracelets with pops of color and charms on them.
Overall, I tried my best to stick to Adam Selman’s color scheme, which was mostly black; however, there were some outfits with pops of color, which is why I wore a purple kimono. You can make any runway style work for your everyday style.
