The month of October is in full swing and the leaves have been turning beautiful shades of orange, red and yellow. This also calls for the need to adjust our wardrobes and switch in all of our fall favorites! The time has once again come to pull out those boots and start layering up and prepping for the chillier months.
For my look, I decided to contrast two ideas and make them cohesive together. I love the idea of including opposites in to an outfit, such as floral and edgy, like shown in the one here. While typically the two looks may not go together because they are unrelated, I think it can be interesting when they are both incorporated in an outfit!
First off, the main statement piece includes one of my favorite trends: the skinny scarf. This accessory is so chic and versatile; it’s perfect for adding a girly touch to an otherwise edgy outfit. I loved this scarf in particular because the color reminded me of the leaves that are beginning to change with the coming of the season.
On the other side, the rest of my outfit is more edgy in comparison to the floral scarf. I chose to stick with the color black to add to this feel and also to make the bright yellow floral print stand out. AÂ leather jacket is a staple for any type of rocker look and will never go out of style. The rips in the black jeans make the ensemble feel more casual, especially for a daytime look. Lastly I finished the outfit by throwing on one of my favorite pairs of Chelsea boots. I especially love these pair because surprisingly they also double as rain boots, but who would ever know?
