Knee- and thigh-high boots have dominated the fall 2015 ready-to-wear runway shows lately. However, the designer that intrigued me this season was Erin Fetherston. Her dainty feminine silhouettes showcase her talent in designing with lace and sheer fabrics. The fall 2015 ready-to-wear fashion show featured models in silky crop tops with bold floral A-line skirts. The colors were simple but elegant and very easy on the eyes. The models seemed to just flow down the catwalk in their natural beauty. All eyes were on Fetherston’s designs.
The theme of Fetherston’s show was very innocent and the color palette, burgundies, teals and white florals, mimicked nature in a timeless and chic way. The name of her fall 2015 ready-to-wear show, Wildwood, was named after the street she lived on as a young girl. Fetherston’s signature look, very girly, young and free, was shown through her designs in a way no other designer can do.
I added my own unique touch to this ensemble by adding color and edge. I layered a sheer scalloped coral crop top over a vibrant floral patterned A-line skirt. I finished off the outfit with a pair of black knee-high boots and a black Chanel shoulder bag. My accessories add some simplicity and a little extra color.
The fall 2014 ready-to-wear show inspired me to embrace girly characteristics through my clothing including bold colors, floral patterns and feminine silhouettes. The black knee-high boots add power and are risqué.
