This look is inspired by the floral feels in Marc Jacobs spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection, and the array of extravagant floral pieces currently in style. The patterns of the dress I chose in comparison to Marc Jacobs looks are more toned in color and are more wearable for a day look.
There’s something about floral maxi dresses that make you feel like a Disney Princess (well, almost). What I love about floral dresses is that they are absolutely perfect for any occasion. Even if you’re too lazy to get ready in the morning a floral dress gives you an elegant yet effortless look. Staple pieces like this floral maxi dress are a must for any closet. They’re so versatile that it can be either dressed up or down. A great thing about floral is that it never goes out of style. As we transition from summer to fall a maxi floral dress can easily be styled in any season.
This dress really stood out to me because of its off-the-shoulder and slit leg details. The off-the-shoulder look has been a fashion craze for me this summer. So when I saw this dress I automatically fell head over heels. Also, a shout out to all my short ladies, because I can vouch that this dress won’t make your body drown in fabric! The slits on the side make it easy for your legs to be shown and most importantly breathe in this summer heat. I paired it with black booties because I thought it complimented the slit effortlessly. I went minimal with the accessories, because the dress spoke for itself!
