Inspired by the Marc Jacobs spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection, combined with the trendy street style looks I have been seeing all over NYC this week. I paired this deep V-neck, cut-out midi dress with a gold chain choker like many wore on that runway. I added layered necklaces to get the same classic yet edgy vibe that I got from this collection. According to Vogue this runway show was a love letter from Marc Jacobs to a New York City that’s all but vanished so of course that inspired me even more.
Floral dresses of any length will always be a staple piece in my wardrobe no matter the season or where I may be traveling to. Who can go wrong with floral anyway am I right? I paired this midi dress with a choker necklace (along with other layered necklaces), slip-on flats and I could not go without my MAC lipstick to complete this perfect summer outfit.
If you are like me when you travel then you know eventually your whole closet is going to go into your suitcase. However with this midi dress and skirt trend this summer, you don’t need much more than that. Depending on where your summer travels take you, midis can work with other trends you will see this summer as well. A good thing about this trend is that not only do they keep you looking put-together, but it also keeps you unbelievably comfortable. You can dress this down by pairing it with a bikini for a trip to the beach or by dressing it up by combining this midi with a pair of lace-up heels for a night out on the town. Either way, this trend can do you no wrong.
