Looking for something to wear? Why not wear denim? It’s classy and comfortable. Along with that, denim is suitable for every season.
The attire I am casually sporting is inspired by the Preen Line resort 2015 collection by Thornton and Bregazzi. Apparently, the duo of designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi expressed a need for denim this season. I must say, the denim apparel in this collection is working and as always; denim is forever trending. The great thing about shopping for denim is you can find it in any discount store, department store or thrift store.
The 2015 Preen Line collection features distressed and patchwork denim in the form of boyfriend jeans, skirts and dresses. And while so many think pulling off a designer look is complicated and time consuming, I assure you it is not.
For college kids like myself, it is sometimes hard to find inexpensive yet fashionable apparel. At times shopping for a certain “look” (such as distressed/patchwork denim) can become very expensive. However, don’t fret! This is where the discount stores and thrift shops (i.e. Plato’s Closet, T.J.Maxx and Thred Up) come into play.
Looking to sport patchwork, distressed boyfriend jeans? Go to your local thrift shop, buy a couple of pairs of old mom jeans or boy jeans, make a few rips and cutouts with scissors, frail the ends of the ripped denim and you have distressed jeans. You can either dress this look up with heels and jewelry or dress it down with flats or sneakers.
