Everyone can appreciate a runway show; one of my favorites this year was the Stella McCartney resort 2015 collection. The collection consisted of unique prints, unexpected colors and towering platform sandals. The inspiration for the collection came from her mom and dad’s lifestyle. She told writer Nicole Phelps, “They’re inspired by my mum and by my dad, actually, and by that period that was free and easy and not uptight.”
Stella McCartney’s collection inspired my outfit for a Nicki Minaj concert. I wanted to embody a carefree attitude through my long line denim jacket and skyscraper platforms. The concert was outside on the lawn, so I wanted my colors to pop, but also keep it somewhat in the neutral.
I still wanted my style to embody the end of the summer vibes. I purposely kept half of my denim jacket buttoned-up to show the details on my trousers. Stella McCartney’s collection embodies a chic, carefree, stylish aura that young women in their twenties would love to have in their closets.
