Summer break is the perfect time of the year to experiment with different trends and styles in your outfits. Transcend your style with inspiration from different looks seen at the latest spring 2016 fashion shows of the top designers in the world!
Inspired by Elie Saab’s spring 2016 Couture Collection and Zuhair Murad’s spring 2015 Couture Collection, I combined elements of both designer’s choice of pairing a lace dress with a metallic silver belt at the waist. The first time I saw photos from both fashion shows, I was instantly hooked on the look. The idea of incorporating a beautifully crafted beaded lace dress and metallic belt creates an enchantingly dreamy look that can instantly catch a your eye.
Runway pieces can always be transformed into looks that adjust to everyday life. Instead of showing up to lunch with friends in a full floor-length ballroom gown, I chose to wear a white lace mini dress I found at a thrift store for only seven dollars. A mini white lace dress is perfect for staying cool on hot summer days while still staying incredibly stylish. I then paired my dress with a classic metallic belt to complete the mimicked look from the genius pieces Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad had created.
To finish the look off with my own twist of style, I paired the dress and belt with a silver coin statement necklace to create a boho vibe. Then, I sported my silver marbled sunglasses to essentially tie all my metallic pieces together into a unified look. I wore nude-colored chunky heels and donned a purple pastel purse to create a neutral look in order to emphasize my metallic statement accessories. For the final touch, I applied a dark plum lipstick to add a pop of color and elevate my outfit into an edgy look.
