I’m pretty positive everyone is on board with this fur sensation that has been going on this season. In the past couple winters, we’ve seen a few fur products here and there, but the trend seemed to really take off this year. Even J.Mendel features a lot of different fur coats in his spring 2017 ready-to-wear runway show. I just fell in love with all of the different styles of fur coats that are shown in this runway show and how he created his looks with the coats. Although the fur details are not the main focus of his show, the pieces do really complete the looks.
Personally, I can’t afford nor do I want to own real fur, but there are plenty of faux fur options that are very affordable for college students! The best part of faux fur coats is they are perfect for any occasion and they can really spice up your look.
For this particular outfit, I was just running errands and going to get dinner with my friends. I paired my taupe faux fur coat with a simple lace-up tank and my favorite pair of skinny jeans. To finish off the look, I added my go-to ankle booties and a few simple rings. I kept the accessories light for this ensemble because there is so much going on with the fur coat that adding too many accessories could draw away from the coat, and possibly pull away from the look all together.
