Slowly and surely the snow is coming. The hardest thing for me in the wintertime is getting out of my warm, cozy bed. The first thing I think about in the morning is “What am I going to wear today and how much longer can I wait to get out of bed?” I always think, “Oh, I’ll just throw on yogas and a sweatshirt so I can stay in bed longer.” But we all know how many clothes we have just hanging in our closets that need to see the light. In the winter, I always catch myself reaching for the faux fur. No matter the color or item, I always notice my eyes growing wider and brighter until I find the fur sitting in my hand.
For this outfit, I chose to pair this long pink faux fur vest with a maroon leather skirt, which are both from Forever 21. The black over-the-knee boots are from ShoeDazzle. Over the-knee-boots are perfect for dressing up outfits and keeping your legs warm when you forget to check the weather report and choose a skirt on a chilly day. Thrown under the pink fur vest is a black chiffon long sleeve button-up. Along with these black items is a black choker from maurices. The other accessories I chose to pair with this outfit are a long gold chain necklace, gold bracelet ring set, everyday rings and a black Cluse watch. Along with these accessories is a maroon handbag from ALDO. Although the two maroons are slightly different from one another, it went into the theme of color-blocking. The black in this outfit is neutral to balance the color-blocking of the pink and maroon. The pink fur adds something fun and even catches a second eye. Who doesn’t love getting a second look and a compliment?
