Neutral colors with fun textures are some of my favorite things to match together. It is such a nice way to stick to some classic ideas while spicing up my look according to the season.
This season on the runway there are a lot of bold prints, textures, finishes and shine. When I looked at the latest runway shows for fall of 2015 something I definitely wanted to add in was some of this variety into my own wardrobe. Gucci’s ready-to-wear line featured a lot of skinny knife pleats and other fluid fabrics with interesting finishes and the overarching theme stuck with a very youthful feel. To emphasize the fabric texture, Gucci also pressed some creases in odd places like all over a dress or above the hem of some trousers.
I can definitely relate this fall trend into my everyday wardrobe. I carry this pink backpack shown in the picture, which has an iridescent finish and a crinkled texture in the leather. This is one of my favorite pieces to use everyday because it’ll spice up any basic outfit I am wearing and it fits all of my needs for class on a daily basis. My pants also have skinny knife pleats in the side paneling, which are extremely comfortable since they are riding pants with a lot of stretch on top of the extra panel.
I tend to dress in many neutral pieces and styles while I am at school so I love having easy items like these pants and my backpack to spice up my look for every season. Wearing a basic flannel and my converse doesn’t seem too simple when I add pieces like these. My comfortable college style can live on while still staying in touch with the latest trends.
