STYLE GURU STYLE: Glam It Up!

Ever since high school, I was always interested in Korean fashion. It only took me until last year to really integrate their minimalistic approach to my wardrobe. Many fashion bloggers are hoping onto to this trend and it has become aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. While browsing through the Seoul 2015 runways, I was really inspired by the Kaal E. Suktae collection. It’s minimal, but it still adds the hint of abstraction to every outfit. Many of the outfits come off as chic and sleek. Despite the runaway targeting to the fall, I think all of this designer’s wardrobes can be emulated, even for the spring. Take a look!

For me, I’ve always love dressing and “glaming” up at parties or family events. Although, sometimes I feel like I overdress at these events, so I’ve been trying to tone it down. So, for this look, I wore a black mini skirt that is perfect for any event. I opted for a circled pattern rather than sequins because I wanted the clean, simple look. Since it’s spring, I did not want to dress in all-black, so I went for an silky shirt with abstract line patterns.  The mixed colors of blue, red and yellow really blends well and matches with the skirt. For the hair, I wanted to add some edged to the outfit by pulling up a half ponytail. I saw that many models on the runaway shows are usually confined to this hairstyle. I finished the outfit with dangling gold earrings with hint of turquoise and blue. The earrings adds that personal, girly touch to my style. With this look, it adds that fresh simple minimal look, yet still retained that feminine approach I have.
