Regardless of being a relatively newer designer, Hanako Maeda of ADEAM rocked her spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. She draws her inspiration from her two hometowns of Tokyo and New York. This line combined styles from her previous two shows: formal and sporty. Hanako chose great deep blues, shades of orange and black and white.
As a college student and future New York City intern, I am all about clothes that I can simply throw on and get out the door. This black tennis-inspired dress definitely fits that description. It is simple enough to dress up or down. I love the open T-back design. It will help keep me cool while rushing back and forth on the boulevards and avenues of the city. The fabric is also super soft and doesn’t cling, which is a must.
And of course you can’t rush anywhere without the right pair of shoes. These are the finest pair of sneakers I’ve ever owned. Made from real suede and leather interior, they feel like slippers. They are the best sneakers to wear when you want to feel a little fancier. You’ll feel great wearing them too because Twins for Peace donates a pair of shoes for every pair that is bought.
Keeping this outfit simple, I added a sports watch to help keep me on schedule. The charcoal gray color and olive highlights match just about anything. Last but not least is a vintage Levi’s jean jacket. I love throwing this jacket over dresses or leggings during the summer.
Get My Look: 1. Simple dress. 2. Designer sneakers. 3. A sports watch.
