If anyone knows anything about me, they know that I am addicted to denim. Something that is classically know as the “Canadian Tuxedo,” or the iconic Britney and Justin head-to-toe denim outfit is something that I consider an everyday go-to. Personal style is all about sticking to your personality and letting it shine through in your clothing. I also believe that personal style exudes through a couple of staple pieces.
In this case, my absolute go-to staple outfit is this denim Free People halter jumpsuit. If you were to look in my closet, you would see nothing but white tops and T-shirts and a ridiculous amount of jeans. But if someone is asking me to be ready in 5 minutes, the first thing I grab is this jumpsuit. Since purchasing it about a year ago, it’s been a classic for me. I love the key details in the open back, the zipper up the side, and the cropped, tapered leg that make this piece such a fun one. While it is such a statement, I feel that the dark denim allows for the jumpsuit to be an extremely versatile one.
I paired the head-to-toe denim look with a fun pair of monochromatic brown wedges. These specific brown wedges have pretty much been everywhere with me! They make for such an easy throw on. I have also been a huge fan of the simplistic gold bangles recently. My mother gave me one of her old gold bracelets that she was given as a little girl—luckily for me, small wrists run in the family! Since then, I haven’t taken it off. It’s become not only a staple piece for me, but also carries a lot of meaning behind it as well.
As far as other accessories, I added a super casual and on-trend white bandana tied around my neck in a loose knot. I love this little ’90s trend that is coming back to today’s fashion, it’s such a fun accessory that can add flare to any outfit. I especially love adding bandanas onto my denim looks to keep the boyish and simplistic feel while still looking put together.
This outfit can be worn for a day spent around the city, lunch with friends, or even to a fun weekend outing, such as an outdoor concert or live band! Jumpsuits have easily been one of my favorite things to add to my closet because of their ability to complete a look with one simple piece. This denim one really just seals the deal for me.
