Once the weather warms up there’s only one thing I loathe, tight clothes. Tight clothes mixed with a heat index of 100 is not my cup of tea, so I opt for other options to keep me cool and stylish.
Summer style is all about comfort and relaxation and Diane von Furstenberg’s resort 2016 collection resembles that to the tee. Full of bright colors, intricate prints and flowy jumpsuits and dresses, the collection is easily one of my favorites. Her take on warm weather fashion is similar to mine, nothing too tight, nothing too revealing and a look that’s worthy of a head turn.
While I’m not Diane (or her bank account), my own take on flowy included a pair of pants and a top that I purchased last summer (I firmly believe in keeping clothes until they fall apart.) My pants are my favorite part of my look. The joggers are super comfortable and the right material so that I can wear them to work and out at night.
I paired the pants with a plain T-shirt to a give the look a more minimalist approach. I love the shirt because of the detailed pleats in the back. It adds a nice detail that dresses up the outfit.
The best way to dress up joggers and take them from day to night is easy with heels. These sandals have a thick heel which make it so much easier to walk in, plus they aren’t too high so my feet aren’t throbbing by the end of the night. Accessories that are simple go a long way with me, so I chose earrings with a little edge and a simple necklace.
Get My Look: 1. Joggers. 2. Sandal heels. 3. Edgy earrings.
