Hats really are a girl’s best friend. Bad hair days come out of nowhere and can affect your confidence about a great outfit. Because of this problem, I love to tell all of my fashion loving friends that a staple item needed in their wardrobe is a great felt or floppy hat. All of you Fashionistas/os should take this advice also! By adding this accessory to your outfit, your look will appear polished and pulled together. You will also be able to conquer the day without worrying about a complicated hairstyle.
The fall 2015 ready-to-wear Moschino collection features a RAD hat in almost every styled look. The baseball caps and felt hats range in design from checkered patterns, to gingham prints and denim fabrics. The collection was quirky and made a statement by showcasing sweaters with large cartoon prints and graffiti art. I took inspiration from this runway show by creating a look focused around my felt fedora.
I chose a great pair of light wash distressed denim jeans that are super cute when rolled up at the ankles. My blousy, black tank top has a gorgeous, colorful embellished floral pattern on the front. The felt fedora has a black band above the brim that ties my black shirt and shoes together. The caramel color of the hat works as a neutral color that adds dimension to my look. My hat was the focal point and emphasis of the outfit. Of course, I cannot forget my ultra chic gladiators, which are made by Isaac Mizrahi. The fringe tassels give the ensemble more of a bohemian vibe.
