Hello, Fashionistas! So, this week and weekend have been in the upper 90’s, which is not okay for coastal weather. While I may have been dying of heat during this outing, I still had a fabulous time exploring a new part of Santa Barbara with my mom. We went to the boat harbor, ate some food, hung out on the beach and, of course, I made her snap some photos of me.
My goal for this outfit was a cute and semi-casual vibe. I paired my Free People cut-out romper with (also Free People) clog shoes, my Lack of Color Sunnydip hat and sunglasses that I got from Urban Outfitters on sale for $2.99 (score!). When I saw the romper I fell in love with the cool-retro and very girly look. I was inspired to buy the hat from Instagram blogger The Salty Blonde; I love the beachy feel. If you do not know who The Salty Blonde is, I highly recommend checking out her page. Her style is the perfect mix of girly beach style with a touch of tomboy; she is also my style goals.
While I wore this outfit casually throughout the day, the romper can easily be transitioned into a less casual look. For a fancier look, I would lose the hat, add a chunky necklace and swap the clogs for a more feminine shoe. For all the boho-lovers out there, I definitely recommend this romper. It’s a statement piece, but can also be styled in various ways, which makes for a great buy.
