It seems that even if you’re not in the fashion world, you’ve still heard about Kanye West’s Yeezy runway show this year. Kanye held his Yeezy Season 3 show, titled The Life of Pablo, in Madison Square Garden in conjunction with a preview of his upcoming album. All of his pieces were monochromatic earth tones. Brown, tan, beige, mustard yellow, forest green and black are the colors he chose for all of all his outfits. Most outfits consisted of either very tight leggings and tops or oversized jackets with pants. The whole show had an urban and earthy tone to it, from the stage to every one of his pieces.
I took inspiration from his 2016 ready-to-wear line for this look and focused on the beige/tan color scheme. Most of his garments are very loose, so I decided to make it more feminine by wearing skinny jeans, adding heels and minimal jewelry. Although the jacket I chose is not baggy, it still has a loose and flowy feel to it without being unflattering. I also picked a loose V-neck to emphasize the urban feel while still keeping it feminine. Since most of the models had absolutely no jewelry, I decided to keep the accessorizing to a minimum. Although his line can be translated in countless ways, it suited my style to change it up and make it more feminine. Mainly, I wanted to keep the monochromatic theme Kanye had for both his show and his ready-to-wear line.
