I’ve always loved florals, and the Céline spring 2015 ready-to-wear show included some patterns that I absolutely loved. The show itself maintained a tailored look throughout it with a few draped pieces thrown in. It started off with coats, structured pants, thick fabric belts and an overall minimalistic feel. Black and white were used heavily with some random colors thrown in like navy, brown and red. Suddenly, with no transition at all, comes this small collection of floral jumpsuits that really caught my eye. A few of them have the same pattern and colors but different shapes. The colors start with black, red, blue, evergreen and navy and continue in other looks with yellow, orange, brown and cream. My favorite look in this collection is this floral neutral colored jumpsuit because it is so psychedelic, and is the one piece from the collection that almost seems like it does not belong. I love the little floral print that contrasts the huge Pop flowers on the other side of the suit.
One style that always intrigued me about the ’70s was jumpsuits; so I had to re-create this look. Jumpsuits are the easiest things to wear because they create one complete outfit with just one piece of clothing. My jumpsuit is a bit more wearable than the one on the Céline show because of its more body-hugging shape and toned down color palate. Still, it contains teeny daisies in its pattern that stick with the true ’70s style of the piece. I translated this Céline look into a look that is consistent with my own style because I maintain the jumpsuit shape with a fun, floral pattern but add some funky earrings and strappy shoes that are true to my style.
Get My Look: 1. A funky jumpsuit. 2. Strappy sandals. 3. Fun earrings.
