I never thought I would find THE jeans. Being 5’9″ with long legs, a small butt and larger thighs, I gave up on actually loving a pair of denim years ago…until now. So ladies, I have for you, the “MOTO Black Ripped Joni Jeans” from Topshop. For those of you who don’t know anything about the store, Topshop is a company that started out in the UK and has spread across the US. I happened to have come across it when I was in a Nordstrom department store in California a few years ago. I know what you’re thinking, “buying ONLINE on a website that’s NOT in the US? that’s crazy talk”, but you’re wrong. I know there’s always a risk shopping outside of the US due to the uncertainty of getting your package/not getting what you thought you ordered. There’s also that chance of your clothes not fitting, but have no fear, these jeans are exactly what you need. Ringing in at $70—they clearly don’t come cheap. You get what you pay for with these stretchy and fitted skinny jeans. There’s an even bigger bonus for all your tall girls out there—they’re long enough! The comfort of these jeans is worth every penny.
What better way to wear the perfect jeans than rocking them with a simple graphic T-shirt? Over the past years, I always thought that I had to rock extravagant, in your face looks to be taken seriously in the fashion world. I have never been more wrong. Keep it simple. Just because you’re not wearing leopard heels, doesn’t mean you don’t look good. The key is to take simple pieces of your look to make a bigger, put together and more elaborate look. For example, just curling and styling my hair and adding two necklaces layered on top of each other does so much for this look.
In college, I have learned to be realistic with my looks. When it’s 90 degrees outside in the hot Florida sun for about 11 months out of the year, it’s hard to layer and style pieces every. single. day. when I know I’m going to sweat and not look as good as soon as I walk outside. Taking the time to make those simple outfits look clean and put together can make the biggest difference.
