When it comes to dressing for the cold weather I always love wearing sweaters, jeans and a great jacket. These are some staples in any winter wardrobe. A look like this is both causal and comfortable.
I got inspiration from Madewell fall 2015 ready-to-wear. This collection has relaxed and classic looks.The looks show a range of textures and fabrics including denim, knits and leather. There is a variety of patterns and colors, from plaids and stripes to neutral colors. Every look has its own personality, but were all very masculine in shape and style. The looks had oversized sweaters and button-downs, leather jackets, neutral colors and messy hair. I was drawn to the casualness and masculinity of each look.
Normally I dress very feminine like, however I was inspired by the leather jacket look. I like the combination of jeans and the leather jacket. For my look, I wore a cream-colored sweater underneath my black leather jacket. I paired my sweater and jacket with blue jeans. I accessorized with a more feminine bag and a statement necklace. I felt this personalized my look and allowed me to stick to some feminine touches while going along with the masculine theme of Madewell’s collection.
What I love about my look is how easy going it is. This look is great for shopping, having to lunch with friends or going to class. This outfit is perfect for a day out in the cold weather.
