Winter is upon us, which is very obvious now by just looking out the window. It looks like this Christmas season in Ohio we will all be walking in a winter wonderland. Along with the first snow fall comes the cold temperatures, making winter the official season of layering. As much as some people hate the uncomfortable feeling of layering, I am one who embraces and loves it more with each layer I add on to my outfit. “Cute and comfortable” is not a foreign term, yet in the depths of winter it is not easy to accomplish. The cute yet comfy look is easier to attain than most people think. The trick is to have the right things in your wardrobe and learn how to layer certain articles of clothing in a certain order: least thick to thickest.
These different pieces I have chosen to layer include a gray V-neck sweater on the bottom with a jean button-up shirt over top. Then I layered a big, thick maroon cardigan over everything to keep my body heat from escaping. This not only adds to the warmth of the outfit, but it gives off a grungy vibe. Along with the top layers, I wear basic black leggings and adidas tennis shoes. The key to shoes in the winter is to wear something that will not slide off your feet in the snow and something that you will not slip easy on ice.
This winter, I hope you can learn to love layers as much as I do. Layering is a must for the season ahead, and I hope I was able to help you get a jump start on how to wear layers in a cute and comfy manner.
