For those who reside in the Northeast, I think we can all agree that February and March seem to be quite weather confused this time of year. There are days where it’s sunny and 75 degrees while others we wake up to a few inches of snow on the ground. The tricky weather has made it quite challenging to decide what to wear in the past weeks, but I have hopes that the coming days will be sending sunshine and comfortable spring weather our way.
An easy solution to the weather mayhem is to layer up. Sticking to staples and basics from my closet goes a long way. On this particularly breezy day, I decided to pair a long sleeve with a utility jacket. These jackets are a must-have for spring weather and have the perk of being very trendy as well. On the bottom I wore DIY frayed black denim pants that are by far my favorite and most comfortable pants ever (shout out to American Eagle Outfitters). For shoes I slipped on these tan suede Chelsea booties. Booties like these become my best friend this time of year. They can literally be worn with anything and are an ideal shoe for long days walking around campus. I keep accessories simple with my go-to shades, backpack, and an evil eye necklace.
An outfit like this is definitely a day-to-day look for me while I patiently wait for those warm and sunny days in this awkward in-between weather. Mother Nature may be getting weather confused, but with a look like this Fashionistas will not.
