No runway show represents the rock ‘n’ roll, Harley Davidson driving, The Black Keys playing in the background, tough and rough look better than the spring 2015 Diesel Black Gold show. From shirtdresses decorated in studs to lightweight tops and motorcycle jackets, this show features a mixture of detailed ingredients in all sorts of pieces. Although you will find that the majority of the ensembles from the show in all-black, splashes of burgundy, navy and gray appear in some looks to add some ’90s-inspired flavor.
So obviously when I fell in love with this look, I was immediately attracted to all the leather embroidery. My leather jacket is my go-to piece for anything because it can be translated into many different looks. But leather is best known for the rough and tough rock ‘n’ roll vibe and that is what I tried to pull off in today’s outfit. However, I did not feel the need to go entirely goth for this look. I threw in some stripes and even a gypsy inspired headband to add into my “Franny flare” style. Overall, the look still shouts rock ‘n’ roll but has a softer edge to it, which creates a perfect balance to represent my style.
This show inspired me to not be afraid of mixing different looks within one central theme. You can still go rock ‘n’ roll without having a tattoo of the Guns N’Â Roses.
Get My Look: 1. Leather jacket. 2. A striped tunic. 3. A gypsy and girly-inspired headband.
