Leather (or faux, in my case) might not be the most practical fabric to wear in the middle of the summer. But, when you are spending the night seeing One Direction in concert, you go all out. I could probably tell you a thousand things about the concert and the experience but for now, I will tell you about my style.
I have always been a dark color girl which probably sounds insanely impractical for an outdoor concert but, much like Alexandre Vauthier and his fall 2015 couture collection, I have been loving the rocker-chic look. Not only is his collection adorned with the trendiest uses of leather you have ever seen, it also looks incredibly cool and effortless, exactly what I was going for at the concert.
Keeping in mind the late July heat, I threw on a thin cotton T-shirt and an easy pair of sandals. Both kept me cool and helped me dance and sing the night away. Since purses aren’t allowed at the venue I wanted to add a fun accessory. My oversized, floppy hat was the best choice to stick with the rocker vibe while also protecting my face that seems to be sunburnt all summer long.
My final piece were the shorts, the show stopper. They are high-waisted and have lace detailing on the bottom seam. My style is completely diverse so they were the perfect mixture of my extreme girly side mixed with my dream bad girl vibe. I may have been surrounded by girls 10 years younger and screamed like a groupie, but I definitely felt cool while doing it.
Get My Look: 1. Leather shorts. 2. Floppy hat. 3. Band T-shirt.
