Hello fellow Fashionistas/os! Fall is so close I can almost taste it, but we still have another month of nice weather to rock our summer looks. So let’s finish this summer strong and in style with some major trends. One trend that I am very fond of this summer is the matching set look. Now there are so many options for this trend such as tank tops and skirts, or pants with a matching tank or a long sleeve top and shorts, the options are never ending. I swear there are matching sets for any occasion. For some inspiration I looked into designer Michael Kors’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection, which had several different looks and styles of matching sets.
I picked up this matching set at Nordstrom and I absolutely LOVE it. You can dress it up or down and even wear the pieces separate. The top overlaps in the back creating an open back and the skirt has pockets, which is an added bonus. Like I mentioned above, there are so many different styles and looks to chose from that I am sure you can find the right set at the right price. I paired this set look with black block heels that I got from Target for a great deal. I also kept my jewelry simple by just wearing my ‘Eat Cake for Breakfast’ watch. I am obsessed with this watch and my glasses ring, both by kate spade.
Now let’s move onto another trend that I am in love with this summer and that is the bandana scarf. Who doesn’t love a good bandana scarf? There are so many ways to style and wear one and they are being sold in any trend-forward retail store. I have also seen them be called square scarfs too but those ones are just a little smaller than the actual bandana style. I found this one at American Eagle and I find myself on the hunt for more.
I love combining trends to create my own styled look for any occasion. Matching sets are a must-have summer and fall essential for any trendy Fashionista/o. And don’t forget to find a RAD bandana scarf that you can wear daily with any look throughout all the seasons.
