Are you ever in need of an outfit that could work for running errands, attending class, and going out to dinner? There is no need to look any more! A foolproof way of always looking chic and put together is to add a piece of leather to your ensemble. Perfect examples are a leather jacket, a skirt, or a pair of black booties. Each one of these items is so versatile, and can be easily paired with any outfit you want. You could throw on a leather jacket with joggers and sneakers and have the perfect athleisure look, or go for a more fancy look by pairing it with jeans and heels.
The weather here in Ohio can get quite crazy. One day you could go outside in shorts and be perfectly warm and the next you need snow boots and about 10 layers! It can be difficult to dress for this type of weather. The outfit shown here is the best example of all the fall and winter trends I have been loving recently. Plus, it is easy to add layers to if the temperature drops. First, this cozy oversize sweater is perfect because it can easily be paired with a skirt, as shown here, or any type of pants. The leather skirt was a way to make the outfit a little more dressed up, so it could be perfect for any occasion. The leather jacket is a staple in my closet. It is a little thicker than a normal jacket so I can keep wearing it as the weather gets even colder. To accessorize the outfit, I added a maroon hat and wore my favorite over-the-knee boots! The neutral colors make it easy for everyday wear. This outfit is a staple for me, and I can wear it often by simply switching up my accessories or opting for a different sweater.
There are also so many ways to shop leather without breaking your budget! In the past, I’ve found myself looking at designer leather products, and my jaw would drop when I saw the prices. While shopping for faux leather, always look at stores such as Forever21 and H&M. The leather jackets found there are both good quality and well priced. This is especially important while being a student in college. The one I am wearing was a steal from H&M, but looks like it could be high end!
I hope my personal style here gives you some inspiration for your own closet!
