I have a growing collection of T-shirts. Whether it’s from a restaurant, coffee shop or concert, I love collecting them. They are comfortable and unique, which are my two favorite words when it comes to describing my style.
My look was inspired by the fall 2016 ready-to-wear Virgil Abloh’s Off-White collection. After looking through the collection of photos, I was inspired by the designer’s color choices. There was a large mix of darker tones with lighter tones. My outfit was inspired by a specific outfit I saw on the runway. It included a distressed T-shirt paired with a very detailed, high-waisted formal skirt. I loved the way that they balanced each other out. It gave me the perfect idea of what to do with all those graphic T-shirts I’ve collected.
In my look, I wore a graphic T-shirt with a high-waisted skirt. Casual meets fancy. For accessories, I wore a simple cross-body purse and some simple gold jewelry. The simple cotton texture of the T-shirt complemented the detailed lace texture of the skirt. It’s the perfect contrast. To complete the look from the top to the bottom, I wore some of my gray booties to match the skirt.
Denim was also a key material I noticed. To make this look more relaxed for a more casual occasion, you could throw on a jean jacket as a second layer.
