This past February, designers showcased their fall 2015 designs during Paris Fashion Week. Of course, being an avid fashion fan, I was enthralled with the week’s activities. Seeing all the different collections and styles gave me a rush unlike any other. This fashion season, I was really into ‘60s- and ‘70s-style clothing and patterns. One collection that stood out to me was House of Holland by Henry Holland. Although he is not one of the most popular design houses in the industry, his work proved to be something special. He used vibrant colors and patterns that glided down the runway, while models strutted to the song “Uptown Funk.” This retreat back to ‘60s fashion is in full swing. Statement gaucho pants, zipped dresses and rubber skirts are coming back in style.
Since we sadly can’t always pull off every style that comes off the runway, department stores offer us more wearable looks like the pants I chose to highlight in this week’s article. These statement pants are an essential staple in my wardrobe. Warning: you will attract attention and receive many compliments while wearing these pants. I love wearing statement pants because they perfectly embody my bohemian-chic style. Their comfortable and unique design make you stand out in a crowd for all the right reasons. Whenever I wear these pants, I pair them with a white crop top and silver accessories to not distract from the pants. My turquoise and silver necklace gives the outfit a pop of necessary color. This look is simple and so easy to put together. If you are looking to make a statement this spring, go out and buy yourself a pair of these pants.
Get My Look: 1. Funky statement pants. 2. Crop top. 3. Studded necklace.
