If you’ve been shopping recently, you know that winter clothes are being marked down to make way for fresh spring assortments. Now I’m all about “out with the old and in with the new,” and hey, sales are my jam. Unfortunately, in the Midwest, though, stores tend to warm up to the idea of spring much faster than the weather does.
Enter the blush bomber jacket, a perfect transitional piece. Transitional pieces are garments that you can buy now, wear the heck out of during the remaining chilly months, and re-style in the spring. In other words, it’s an excuse for Fashionistas to go shopping all year ’round. Score.
This shiny blush bomber was on sale (yay!) and looks great with black denim and layers on top to keep you warm. When the snow melts and the sun comes back out to stay, you can style the jacket with distressed boyfriend jeans, shorts, and a graphic tee, or even a feminine dress for bold contrast.
In this winter look, I paired the bomber with a simple white tee with strap details to add a little flair. Plus, black jeans with knee slits are always cool for cool weather.
As for accessories, black leather booties are a wardrobe staple in the winter. This pair has stud details on the heels, for an extra kick. Finally, an oversize bag in black leather completes the ensemble. Plus, it has plenty of room for extra layers to combat the fickle Midwest forecast. Bring it on, Mother Nature.
That’s all for now, Fashionistas. Here’s to another rad semester!
