Summer is in full swing in Toronto and with high heats and the occasional thunderstorm, Fashionistas/os are always looking for that perfect outfit that will hold up against the weather.
Taking some cues from the Ralph Lauren spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection, we see the brand’s classic style that is easily translated into the everyday Fashionista/o summer wardrobe. With Ralph Lauren living up to being the king of classic and preppy style, we see the nautical stripes notorious to the label shine in this spring collection. Each look in the collection is styled as if each model is about to be transported oceanside to the Hamptons for a glamorous weekend on a yacht.
Although these pieces might not be easily attainable for everyone, the collection provides great inspiration to pull from. A classic pair of white jeans can go a long way in anyone’s wardrobe. These jeans are a summer staple and can be easily pair with cute tank tops and button-downs to make an effortless outfit. To add to the look, pairing these jeans with a simple flowy striped button-down makes the outfit look well put together, yet it took seconds! To add to my own style, I chose to pair this outfit with simple nude flats and a classic rose gold watch.
This outfit is so simple yet versatile, you can mix up the button down or on a cooler day a striped knit to make this outfit your own. From the office to running errands around the city, Fashionista/o’s can be sure to be looking nautically perfect.
