STYLE GURU STYLE: Maxin' and Relaxin'

I was personally inspired by Etro’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear runway collection. Whenever I see new collections on the runways, I am always looking for ways to incorporate runway style into everyday style. For the spring 2016 collection, bohemian prints were a big component. I loved the different prints and how each look could be transitioned from day to night.

This past Saturday, I was enjoying the warm New York City sunshine. Since I am always on the go during the week, typically days off are my “catching up on life” days. I’ll have a good cup of tea and go through a congested email inbox. I may even grab the laptop and head over to one of my favorite coffee shops. I believe everyone should have “their” coffee shop, in which they can walk into and immediately feel relaxed. Sorry world, Grounded Coffee in the West Village, NYC is mine! When I’m out and about on my days off, I try to keep things as low-key and simple as possible regarding style.

You will never find me in sweatpants and a pair of sneakers but, to me, a simple cotton maxi dress is the equivalent of comfort. This printed bohemian dress was perfect on this warm day. I loved the little ruffle detail under the bust line and the small tie detail. I paired it with rose gold thin sandals and a black cross-body bag. My hair was in the usual summer hair style, the half-bun—it is so quick and easy to do! If I wanted to add an edgy approach similar to the Etro runway, I would pair it with chunky wedges, a bomber jacket and a choker necklace.

Get My Look: 1. Maxi dress. 2. Crossbody bag. 3. Rose gold sandals.
