Military fashion has certainly made its rounds as long as I can remember. It has since revolutionized into something modern, and it’s currently spotted for 2016 summer/spring on the runway by none other than Donatella Versace in the Versace spring 2016 ready-to-wear show. She certainly created a dynamic army of utility chic.
I’m totally into neutrals this summer and, paired with the right accessories, it puts forth a bold look. After seeing Versace flawlessly execute this trend, I knew exactly the outfit I wanted to put together. Normally, I don’t exactly match my jacket or tops with my bottoms, but for this look, it just works so well and I’m really digging it. I’ve always been an avid Forever 21 shopper, so accordingly, both the jacket and the shorts are from there. With Forever 21 you can never go wrong by purchasing any trends that you’re hesitant to try because its clothes are pretty affordable. I paired these pieces with black pleather booties (comfy and cute), a dainty silver choker and a bucket bag that effortlessly fits this color scheme.
This collection really appeals to everyday wear and that’s why I can really connect with it! However, the last thing Versace does is blend in. With the use of military hues featuring pops of color it definitely stands out.
Although I’m not strutting high fashion brand names, I definitely feel like I’m channeling my inner Versace, and I’m really loving it.
