I am always up for experimenting when it comes to color combos. Obviously we all have our go-to combinations but today I am trying out something new. After seeing J.Crew’s fall 2015 Ready-to-Wear collection I had a few ideas. Throughout the collection there are a few looks that have mismatched bold bright colors, and the combinations chosen looked flawless on the runway.
Turning this into an everyday look is what inspired this orange and neon yellow duo today. Typically with a look like this one, I would have kept the main focus on the dress because of the strong detailing around the neckline. I would have chosen a more subdued bag, possibly something brown to match the wedges or even a small clutch. But after all the bold color combinations in J.Crews collection I decided to try something new.
Here I have on an orange halter shift dress with embellishments around the neck. Which I have paired with a neon yellow bag. Initially when I saw this bag at the store it took me about 30 seconds to convince myself that I had to have it, although it didn’t know if I would wear it all that much. Ironically this has become one of my go-to’s lately to spruce up any outfit. I definitely think a bright colored bag is a staple to any wardrobe.
For shoes I kept it simple with a lace up brown wedge, easy to walk in for a day full of errands or shopping. Couldn’t forget to throw on a pair of aviators for these sunny spring days we’ve been blessed with.
