It’s just incredible the way time flies! Spring is peaking through, and I’m scrambling to wear some of my favorite winter pieces. Like many of you, my clothing rack, drawers and closet are stuffed to the brim with clothes. I know, I know. I’ve cut back on trigger shopping since the new year. I’ve managed to get that dirty little habit down to purchasing an item or two every other month, and for me that is quite impressive.
As some of you may know, my love for fashion developed through personal style and later I fell for the runway shows. I’ve also made it a point to check out different designers this past pre-fall 2016 show and by far Stella McCartney was my favorite. I love leopard print. Although the perfect leopard pattern is hard to come by, Stella McCartney nailed it. This leopard oversized knit and flared pants co-ord set is major wardrobe goals. I also love that McCartney is a vegetarian who created a successful brand without using leather and other animal skins for her designs. How dope is that?
My mind immediately went to work brainstorming how I could style my most prized possession. Ok, I might say this often, but I seriously adore this cheetah print turtleneck that I snagged from Joe Fresh last year. I just can’t give up turtlenecks, I’ve probably worn more turtlenecks this winter than my grandma did her entire life.
I was feeling pretty funky and decided to throw this faux fur burgundy coat on top. To create a balance for a casual look, I wore these true blue mom jeans and white high-top Converse. By the way, if you’ve never tried mom jeans, you are missing o-u-t! They will hug you in all the right places, making you feel sexy and comfortable. For accessories, I wore this gorgeous white and black reversible mini tote along with bits and pieces of dainty jewelry.
Get My Look: 1. Mom jeans. 2. Mini tote bag. 3. Faux fur coat.
