There’s no denying that mules are having a moment right now. This fun shoe comes in all shapes and heel lengths and looks amazing with so many outfits. They’re also a nice option for the office! For a simple, everyday look I paired my mules with jeans, a striped button-up, and my favorite leather bag.
I love these mules specifically because of the color and pointed toe. The metallic gold adds shine to any spring outfit. These flats have a slightly raised heel, which I love because it will prevent the heel from wearing down quickly. I got my mules from Mango, but you can get similar ones here!
Now, on to the rest of the outfit! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again—I love jeans. They’re the perfect pant because they can be dressed up or down so easily. Right now I am loving the frayed hem trend. It’s a detail that can add a lot of edge to an otherwise basic outfit. The jeans I’m wearing are Levi Brand Jeans that I cut and frayed myself, but these are a great option that require no manual labor (just a little bit of cash). I really love a subtle fray for everyday jeans, but there are so many fun and spunky designs out right now that would look amazing with mules (specifically wide leg frayed jeans)!
Button-ups are also great everyday staples for the spring time, and stripes are big right now as well. I have always loved button-ups because of the “cool girl” vibe they give off, but they’re also super comfortable. I got this one from H&M and am sure I’ll be getting tons of use out of it this season!
Lastly, I paired this outfit with my favorite bag of the moment. I’m a big fan of crossbody bags (even though I never wear them across my body), because they’re so easy to carry around. This Rebecca Minkoff is the perfect size because it fits my wallet and a few other necessities and isn’t at all heavy. I usually splurge on bags because I will use them for a year or two before getting a new one, but this is a less expensive version that I love!
I hope this inspired you to try out some fun spring trends, especially mules! Fashion is all about trial and error to find what you like and what looks best on you. But trust me, mules look great on everyone.
