School is out and that means summer time is here with warmer weather and even hotter trends and style to try. My favorite element of fashion is color. I love to play with color and see how things will turn out. A popular summer style this season is neon. It’s everywhere and so many brands are embracing the eye-catching colors. Chanel started the hype with their 2016 resort collection. The show included bright colors and patterns perfect for a summer outing.
While I can’t afford Chanel on a college/minimum-wage salary, I did come up with a few ways to rock my favorite pair of neon pink ankle-length pants. This particular day I was headed to work and going to an event right after. I wanted to be cute and professional for the office, but also be stylish enough for the event later on that evening. The pants provided the perfect way to do both.
I like to get a lot of wear out of my various (and frequent) clothing buys so these bottoms  have made it into my nice rotation of ‘office appropriate clothing. I wear them a lot but this time I had to work to get just the right look that was perfect for a busy day.
I decided to pair the pants with a sleeveless white collared shirt to create a blank canvas for adding accessories and other elements. From there I added a sweater that doubled as a simple way to cover up inside and a way to add style to the outfit later. Then came the teal necklace to add more color.
For shoes and other jewelry, I kept it simple with my signature watch and pearl bracelet and opted for black booties to pull everything together and add a little edge.
