STYLE GURU STYLE: Nothin' But Neutral

Hey there, Fashionistas/os! With summer coming to a close end, it’s time to think about all the fun and exciting fall trends and colors that will be coming back into our lives. When I think of fall, I think of neutrals of any shade, and that transitive look from summer to fall. Today’s look was inspired by Marios Schwab’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. He has created pieces inspired by neutral accents and hues with either a solid or patterned base, and pop of fall color.

Here, you can see me wearing a simple, but elegant black romper, which is the base for a lot of looks within this collection. However, I decided to put a little twist of my own on the basic part of his designs. I don’t know about you, but I cannot come to terms with the fact that summer is almost over. So, I decided to pull in a strappy wedge with a pop of color, but in the most neutral way! As Schwab did, I took a solid and threw a pop of neutral into my look and was able to create a more modern (and affordable) take on his designs. Still transitioning into fall, I decided to throw a cream colored cardigan over the romper. This tied everything together, keeping that elegant look and made the look more fall-forward. Now, all you have to do is take those simple and solid pieces in your closet, pop a neutral accent and you can have somewhat of your own take on Schwab’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection!

Get My Look: 1. Black romper. 2. Cream cardigan. 3. Strappy, neutral wedge.
