“New year, new me” is the motto we’ve all said after ringing in the New Year. This year, I vowed to stick to my New Year’s resolutions for good. These resolutions include, working out on a regular, eating more greens, and dressing up whenever I felt like it.
Unlike my everyday winter wear that consists of worn out military boots and a long bomber jacket, this look is simple. Not only is it reminiscent of my week-long vacation in New York City with my best friends, it reminds me of the brighter and warmer days to come. I paired up a long-sleeve button down shirt dress with chunky sandals and added a small gold choker necklace to match the gold on the rims of my glasses.
The key to this outfit is to keep the accessories on your physical body as simple as possible. However, this look can be topped off with a medium sized clutch of any color. A good sturdy clutch will make you look professional and mature, but of course, it will also make you look good. This outfit is perfect for any day out in New York City or in Toronto. It is a versatile outfit good for brunch, walking around, or a visit to a modern art gallery.
