STYLE GURU STYLE: Oversized And Urban

The Yeezy fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection by Kanye West gives off an urban look with an artistic edge. Kanye gives his audience a different feel when it comes to his clothing. He does not only want to focus on fashion, but wants to bring in all types of media. From his Season 1 to Season 3 line, Kanye West has constantly given his audience a unique look with an urban twist, which is starting to become a well-known look. Yeezy sticks to neutral tones while paying attention to detail to top off his overall look. The Yeezy line varies from tight, well-fitted clothing to loose and oversized. It helps bring out the overall mood with the mix of fit, but still giving a consistent look and feel from each outfit.

The main idea from the Yeezy line that inspired my outfit was the overall mood. Kanye West has a very fashionable eye, but coordinates his love of art into his clothing. My favorite look throughout the Yeezy line is the oversized top paired with a tight-fitted bottom. I really wanted to keep my look as an outfit that could go day to night because I feel as all Yeezy line clothes can be worn at anytime.

One of my favorite pieces in my closet is my leather jacket. It is a versatile item that can be worn anytime with anything. It can easily dress an outfit up or add that extra spunk. The leather jacket helps add detail to the look just as the Yeezy line does with small details such as shoes, rips, or small embroideries. I absolutely love how Kanye destroys some of his garments, and this is why I added in the high-waisted black jeans with rips at both knees, giving an urban effect without adding too much.

The best part of this outfit is my T-shirt. This shirt is the main focus of this outfit and gives the vibe I exactly get from Yeezy: artistic and versatile. The T-shirt is from a young brand called For Those Who Sin. This brand was created from the urge of a creative to create, somewhat like Kanye. Two guys got together with a goal in mind for their brand to have an aesthetic to inspire and be inspired. I believe that this really shows through the brand with how different each garment is from the next. Nature, artists and sculptures, as well as any individual who has taken a dream and pursued it inspired the designers of this T-shirt. They always focus on the last item they have created and making sure their most recent piece is their best. These two designers will definitely be seen in the future as they are working on manufacturing to a larger scale to keep up with the demand. Yeezy might have a run for their money.
