So far while studying abroad, the weather has been beautiful. However, this past week the weather took a turn for the worst and dropped to chillier temperatures. There is no way I could survive this cold weather without my favorite cozy apparel. I have to be wearing my oversized turtleneck sweater to brace all of the cold. After all, my favorite style I’ve seen on the runway this season is oversized.
The show that left me most inspired was the Tome fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. I took inspiration from this show by incorporating this oversized trend into a trendy, everyday outfit. I was also inspired by the Michael Kors fall 2015 Mecerdes-Benz fashion week collection. The line consisted of oversized, yet tailored outerwear. As for colors, neutral palettes are trendier than ever this season. This is why I stuck to a color story consisting of black, off-white and gray.
The turtleneck is back! Another trend we’re seeing this season is the comeback of the turtleneck. This is perfect because this look consists of two of my favorite things, turtlenecks and oversized sweaters. This sweater is one item every Fashionista needs in her closet as the colder weather comes about.
Another must-have for cold weather is a cable knit beanie. Beanies are the perfect accessory this season, not to mention they look adorable with oversized sweaters. This chunky beanie complements the oversized sweater, instead of taking attention away from it.
A great accessory that follows the oversized trend is round oversized sunglasses. Oversized sunglasses add just the right amount of funkiness to any outfit. These fun sunglasses also make for the perfect accessory for a sunny day.
Lastly, every Fashionista/o needs the perfect small bag. My graphic print purse is just the right size to fit everything I need while traveling abroad. Wallet? Check. Keys? Check. Snacks for later? Check.
