To all you loungewear lovers out there, this is your season! Loungewear and lingerie inspired pieces were huge in the spring 2016 ready-to-wear runways and I plan on fully embracing this trend. As someone who notoriously mixes pajamas into her everyday wardrobe—but seriously those pieces at Anthropologie are just too pretty to sleep in—I am bursting with excitement.
My favorite runway show for this season is Alexander Wang’s final collection for Balenciaga. This spring 2016 ready-to-wear line is an all-white ethereal wonderland. The models are donning structured, yet playful whites and slippers to boot. Each piece is gorgeous and unique and I encourage you to check out this awesome collection. Alexander Wang made creating a 36-piece runway show look effortless.
On my spring break this year I had the opportunity to visit Wang’s home turf, California, and I was able to try out this trend. Fear not fellow Ohioans, shorts season is just around the corner. As usual, I interpreted this trend, but put my own spin on it. I combined a pair of comfy pull-on shorts with a flowy white tank top and gray bralette. To add a pop of color I threw on my current obsession, an amethyst pendant necklace from Kendra Scott’s latest collection. I completed my look with my well-loved pair of Birkenstocks and called it a day. This trend isn’t supposed to be difficult to master, it’s all about comfort and ease.
Get My Look: 1. Pull on a pair of shorts. 2. Any casual white top. 3. Comfortable bralette.
