Everybody knows that transitioning from summer to fall usually involves rich wine and deep green colors, along with many other essential fall colors. After seeing the Fendi fall 2016 couture collection my perspective on those traditional transition colors has changed. The show showcased some beautiful pastel blues and pinks, along with a large amount of floral patterns. Normally, floral and pastel would not be in the same sentence with fall in my opinion, but boy was I wrong. This show put these unlikely colors and patterns onto long sleeve, maxi dresses and winter coats, as well as, ankle booties. With the use of models who have a lot of publicity surrounding them, like Kendall Jenner or Bella Hadid, and the Trevi Fountain as a part of its runway, I think this show was as close to a fairytale as any show could get.
For this outfit I chose to pull my inspiration from the colors and patterns used on the runway. My cropped blouse from Miss Selfridge was the perfect mixture of both sources of inspiration. Then I chose to pair it with black leggings and my favorite heeled sandals I got from T.J. Maxx. Then to accessorize, I decided my new sunglasses were a great addition to the outfit because of the pink/ green reflective lenses that bring out the pink in my shirt. In my opinion, they really give the look a unique feel and make the outfit feel more put together. Personally, I believe this outfit could also be paired with a pair of classic pumps and worn to work with a chic blazer and a different hair style. All of the pieces could easily be transitioned to fit many different work environments with a few tweaks. I love when an outfit can be worn for multiple occasions with minimal effort put into finding accommodating pieces.
