From Kylie Jenner to Kelly Osborne, pastel hair is all the rage. Lavender, teals, pinks and rainbows are just a few of the shades that are not only coloring the streets, but the runways as well. Showing up in Gucci fall 2015 collection, my favorite colored combination, a lighter blonde to lavender, accented several looks. Feeling inspired by the runway, the stars and some of my favorite style bloggers; I decided to try this look out for myself.
Although I am one who loves to match, I decided to take my own brunette hair and transfer it to a gray/silver and lavender mix, contrasting many of my outfits, such as this one that draws inspiration from the Gucci line as well; playing with a similar color scheme, one of reds and blues, as well as highlighting different patterns such as chevrons and stripes. With hours of bleaching and aluminum foil, I found out my hair is quite resilient to dyes. Rather than the intended lavender, my hair turned into a mix of blues and pinks, not one of them purple. I’ve decided to embrace my now crazy hair and rock it. My advice is for anyone who has ever contemplated this hairstyle is for him or her to absolutely take it. Hair is nothing but temporary and will always grow back, as well as dye back. My roommate and I decided that we would dye my hair with Manic Panic’s Mystic Heather later in the week just to get the real lavender color I am looking for.
