Speaking about 2016’s biggest trends, pleated skirts sit along on the list with bomber jackets, velvet, and embroidery. I’ve been looking for the metallic pleated skirt that is affordable all year around, and finally spotted this pleated skirt from H&M around Thanksgiving. Although the skirt is not metallic, it reflects some light along with the movement while you’re walking with it. This skirt isn’t the best choice on cold winter days, but I got a chance to wear it while I’m back to Taiwan during the winter break. I wore this skirt once in the states, and unseen in the photo, I wore a pair of Heattech leggings from Uniqlo to keep myself warm and chic at the same time.
Black skirt makes it easy to pair up with any kind of tops, yet I decided to add another layer of black to my top. While the bottom is loose already, I chose a tight top and picked a sweater that shows the body’s curves.
To brighten up the whole outfit, I wore a pair of white creeper sneakers. Creeper sneakers are an alternative to heels to add some height. Besides, they’re more comfortable than heels, and are more suitable for school days. In case you are struggling with the colors to choose from, white sneakers go along with any kind of outfit; you definitely should get one if you still don’t have them!
That’s how I style my pleated skirts. I hope you liked it and I’ll see you next time!
